About the role#
The Trial Associate Program (TAP) is designed to provide aspiring trial lawyers with training, resources, and professional development. Participants receive mentorship from firm partners and gain hands-on experience in trial advocacy. Successful completion of the program may lead to offers of full-time employment.
What you'll do#
- Learn from trial attorneys through 1:1 formal mentorship.
- Engage in weekly litigation training courses covering depositions, motion practice, expert discovery, mediation, and trial preparation.
- Prepare for trial through guided training and access to office hours with premier national trial counsel.
- Participate in civil jury trials and attend a jury trial during the summer.
- Focus on best practices for client service and data-informed legal solutions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment at a top law school with an anticipated graduation year of 2028.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills.
- A commitment to high-quality client service.
- Demonstrated interest in trial advocacy.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant academic background in fields such as Political Science, Criminal Justice, Communications, English, Business Administration, History, Philosophy, or Psychology.
