About the role#
This is a full-time summer internship based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, running from June 7, 2027, to August 20, 2027. You will join the Infectious Disease Epidemiology team to gain hands-on experience in real-world research and vaccine development. The work supports programs for infectious respiratory viruses, gastrointestinal viruses, and other areas.
What you'll do#
- Support clinical trial conduct and post-marketing observational research.
- Lead and execute epidemiologic analyses on disease burden and related health outcomes, including study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
- Communicate findings through data visualization, reports, and presentations for cross-functional teams and leadership.
- Engage with partners in Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Health Economics & Outcomes Research, and Real-World Evidence Analytics.
- Contribute to discussions on evidence generation strategies to help shape research priorities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a PhD or ScD program in Epidemiology or a closely related discipline.
- A strong background in epidemiology and biostatistics.
- Experience with SAS, R, STATA, or similar software.
- An interest in vaccine development, pharmacoepidemiologic methods, pharmacovigilance, and data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and contribute effectively within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail, and a commitment to quality.
- You must already hold work authorization in the United States and be able to maintain that status without sponsorship.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour.
