About the role#
As an Assurance and Accounting Intern, you will work with our team to provide financial information and advisory services to clients. This role offers the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting while developing technical skills across various accounting functions.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in areas including audits, reviews, compilations, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize current status.
- Create correspondence, technical reports, and client presentations that outline engagement findings.
- Collaborate with the client engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
- Conduct walk-throughs for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards while managing multiple client files.
- Investigate and correct discrepancies in financial documents or reports.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous office experience, customer service background, or familiarity with accounting and tax software are considered assets.

- Location: Fort Frances, Ontario.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time internship position.
- Compensation: The hourly pay range is $20 to $23 CAD.
- Status: This is a paid position.
