About the role#
Join the Assurance and Accounting team as an Accounting Student. You will provide detailed financial information to help clients make business decisions. This role is based in Casselman, Ontario, and runs for the Winter 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Build technical skills in compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Apply IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards to client files.
- Prepare files for new clients and newly incorporated businesses.
- Perform walkthrough tests for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Summarize financial status by preparing balance sheets, income statements, and other reports.
- Review financial documents to correct errors or irregularities.
- Draft correspondence and technical reports to explain findings to clients.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
- Travel as required for the role.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor of Commerce or Business Administration degree, preferably with a major in Accounting or Finance.
- Completion of prerequisite courses for the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Experience in a public accounting firm is an asset.
- Experience with accounting and tax software is an asset.
- Customer service experience is an asset.

- Compensation: 50,000 to 52,000 CAD per year.
