About the role#
MNP is hiring a Co-op student to join the Assurance and Accounting team in Terrace, British Columbia. This full-time position runs from January 2028 through August 2028. You will work on-site as part of a team that provides financial information to help clients make business decisions.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Perform walk-throughs with clients for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital asset transactions.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize status.
- Assess the appropriateness of audit evidence for various financial entries.
- Collaborate with the client engagement team and build relationships with client contacts.
- Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files at once.
- Review and correct discrepancies in financial documents and reports.
What you'll need#
- Working towards a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward prerequisites for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program.
- Previous accounting office experience is an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is an asset.

- Compensation: This is a paid position with an annual salary range of $47,000 to $49,000.
