About the role#
MNP is seeking a Co-op Student for the Assurance and Accounting team in Prince George, British Columbia. This full-time position runs from January 2028 through August 2028. You will work directly with a team of professionals to provide financial information and advisory services to clients.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical skills in compilations, reviews, audits, bookkeeping, and tax.
- Apply knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, and ASPE standards.
- Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports to summarize client status.
- Review and investigate financial entries to correct discrepancies.
- Perform walk-throughs for accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and capital assets.
- Prepare technical reports, client summaries, and presentations regarding engagement findings.
- Collaborate with the engagement team and maintain professional relationships with client contacts.
- Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- Currently working toward a bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration, with a preference for accounting or finance majors.
- Progressing toward the prerequisites required for admission into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- Previous accounting office experience is considered an asset.
- Experience in customer or client service is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with accounting and tax software is considered an asset.

- Term: Winter 2028 (January to August).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Annual salary range of $45,000 to $48,000.
