About the role#
Join our Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) team as a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Analyst. You will work with a team that specializes in the verification, validation, and quantification of GHG emissions. Our clients include municipalities, small and medium enterprises, large corporations, and public sector organizations. We have internship positions available for the winter, summer, and fall terms of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Calculate GHG emission inventories for various organizations.
- Develop goals and action plans to reduce GHG emissions.
- Assist with GHG emission audits for large emitters across Canada, which may involve site visits to industrial facilities.
- Analyze the environmental benefits of projects that use new technologies.
- Input data into calculation spreadsheets and interpret the results.
- Research emission factors for different processes and learn about GHG reduction technologies.
- Prepare reports that present findings from GHG quantifications and verification activities.
- Collaborate with an experienced team on multiple mandates simultaneously.
What you'll need#
- A university degree in Engineering (Environmental, Biotechnological, Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Agricultural, or Forestry).
- Intermediate or advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Between 0 and 5 years of relevant experience.
- A master's degree in engineering or environmental management is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with the ISO 14064 standard or climate change adaptation is an asset.
- A willingness to travel within Canada as required.
- Strong organizational skills and a rigorous approach to work.
