Student Worker - Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences (AOIP)

About the role#

The Advanced Ocular Imaging Program (AOIP) within the Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences is seeking a student worker to support various imaging-related research projects. This position involves assisting with data management, image processing, and general lab operations.

What you'll do#

• Manage image exporting and data organization tasks.
• Handle filing and recordkeeping for the department.
• Perform registration of retinal images and image montaging.
• Participate in meetings with the Principal Investigator and research staff to evaluate and interpret data validity.
• Assist with 3D printing tasks as needed.
• Perform additional operational tasks as assigned by the lab.

What you'll need#

• Completion of at least the sophomore year of high school.
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and high attention to detail.
• Ability to demonstrate responsibility, dependability, and professional courtesy.
• Completion of CITI training within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to occasionally lift moderate weight materials, stand, or walk continuously.
