Student Worker - Neurosurgery

About the role#

The Student Worker in the Department of Neurosurgery provides administrative and research support under the supervision of staff members. This role involves assisting with routine office tasks, lab maintenance, and basic research experiments to support the department's ongoing projects.

What you'll do#

• Assist with routine administrative tasks including sorting, calculating, posting, copying, and filing.
• Perform data entry across various software systems and complete required forms.
• Support lab operations through maintenance and the performance of basic research experiments.
• Collaborate with research team members and participate in lab meetings, seminars, and workshops.
• Look up information in reports and lists to maintain accurate records.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college program.
• No prior experience is required; appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.
• Basic knowledge of research, clerical procedures, and computer systems.
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and occasionally lifting moderate weight materials.
