About the role#
This internship provides practical experience in conducting audits and reviews of organizational and functional activities. You will work on-site at the corporate office in Bismarck, North Dakota. The schedule is flexible, typically ranging from 10 to 25 hours per week during the school year, with the possibility of up to 40 hours during summer and school breaks. Safety is the top priority in all daily work routines.
What you'll do#
- Interview company personnel to gather audit data and evidence.
- Prepare workpapers such as memos, schedules, and spreadsheets to document audit testing results and conclusions.
- Develop recommendations to correct unsatisfactory conditions, improve operations, and reduce costs.
- Work on data analytic projects.
- Complete other tasks and special projects as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program in accounting, finance, management information systems, or a related field.
- Current standing as a sophomore or junior in an undergraduate program.
- Ability to work on-site at the Bismarck, ND office.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug testing and background checks.
- Commitment to protecting company networks, devices, and data from unauthorized access.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
