About the role#
As a Continuous Improvement & Engineering Intern, you will support improvement initiatives within our Pharma Distribution operations. You will work with cross-functional teams to analyze processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and use data and engineering principles to develop practical solutions. This role offers the chance to apply your engineering knowledge in a real-world environment while developing experience in process improvement, data analysis, and project management.
What you'll do#
- Analyze operational processes to improve efficiency, quality, and performance.
- Collaborate with teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply engineering principles to solve operational challenges.
- Analyze data to measure process performance and evaluate improvement initiatives.
- Support project management tasks, including tracking timelines and identifying risks.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation and reports.
- Communicate project updates and findings to stakeholders.
- Research tools and methodologies to improve operational efficiency.
- Support initiatives while following safety and quality standards.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including formulas and pivot tables.
- Experience using Microsoft PowerPoint for presentations and Microsoft Word for reports.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines through academic or volunteer activities.
- Interest in continuous improvement, Lean methodologies, or operational excellence.
- Ability to analyze data and translate findings into recommendations.
- Exposure to project management or process improvement through academic projects or previous work.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Interest in working within a distribution, supply chain, or healthcare environment.
