About the role#
Maxwell Locke & Ritter LLP is hiring for a Winter 2028 Tax Internship. This is a full-time, paid, in-person position based in Austin or Round Rock, Texas. You will work 40-55 hours per week during the busy tax season from mid-February to mid-April.
What you'll do#
- Prepare federal income tax returns.
- Assist with various tax consulting projects.
- Complete tax returns independently from start to finish.
- Participate in weekly production meetings.
- Engage in firmwide and departmental professional development opportunities.
What you'll need#
- Completion of Intermediate Accounting I and at least one taxation course.
- A grade of B- or better in all accounting courses.
- A 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Full-time availability (40-55 hours per week) during the internship period.
- You must not be enrolled in any classes during the internship.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
