About the role#
MassMedia is seeking a Marketing and New Business Intern to gain hands-on experience in how an integrated agency builds its brand and pursues new business. You will work directly with the leadership team on agency marketing, business development, research, and pitch preparation. This role is for someone who wants to learn the business side of advertising and public relations. We expect up to 24 hours of work per week.
What you'll do#
- Create content that showcases agency expertise, culture, and client successes.
- Develop marketing materials, including case studies, presentations, and award submissions.
- Maintain the marketing and editorial calendar.
- Research industry trends and timely topics.
- Support agency events.
- Identify potential clients and key decision-makers that align with our profile.
- Research prospective clients and monitor company news, funding, and leadership changes.
- Build and maintain prospect lists and track outreach within the CRM.
- Assist with proposals and credentials materials for new business.
- Participate in internal meetings and prospect meetings to observe the sales process.
What you'll need#
- Strong writing and communication skills.
- Excellent research skills and a genuine curiosity about brands and industries.
- Ability to work independently and move assignments forward.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong follow-through.
- A strong eye for branding and professional communication.
- Proficiency in Canva for creating polished presentations.
- Familiarity with LinkedIn and Instagram.
- Interest in marketing, advertising, sales, or business development.
- Willingness to learn and use AI and other emerging research tools.
- Current students or recent graduates in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration are encouraged to apply.
