About the role#
As an Accounts Receivable Intern, you will support our finance team by managing customer accounts and handling payment records. You will work on-site at our corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania during the summer of 2027. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Record payments to customer accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
- Enter cash receipts data into the system and reconcile bank deposits against credit card ledgers.
- Apply payments to invoices using both paper and electronic remittances.
- Manage collections by making professional calls and sending correspondence to resolve delinquent accounts.
- Research and process charge backs, returns, and bad checks.
- Coordinate with the Sales Department to resolve account issues.
- Maintain data integrity within the accounts receivable system.
- Prepare status reports for customer accounts.
- Assist with Route Accounting duties as needed.
- Send invoice copies to customers via fax or mail.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited institution pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience with Excel is preferred.
- Proficiency with typing and 10-key data entry is preferred.
