Project Coordinator/Co-op Student (Civil Construction)

About the role#

Maple Reinders is seeking a Project Coordinator/Co-op Student to support Project Managers and Superintendents in the delivery of civil construction projects. This role involves working across various contract types, including Design Build, Plan and Spec, and Construction Management. The successful candidate will contribute to project profitability, quality assurance, and site safety.

What you'll do#

• Maintain contract documentation, including purchase order logs, shop drawing and submittal logs, and plan logs.
• Support estimating processes, including selecting suppliers and sub-trades and obtaining quotations.
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and schedules.
• Clarify scopes of work with sub-trades and suppliers.
• Track and manage supply inventory to ensure timely delivery.
• Attend site meetings and assist in the completion of project deficiencies.
• Ensure site safety compliance in accordance with regulatory requirements and corporate health and safety policies.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student in a related post-secondary program, such as Architectural Technology, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
• Recent graduates who completed their studies in 2026 are also eligible to apply.
• Experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel is considered an asset.

Location & details#

• Location: Courtenay, British Columbia.
• Term: Fall 2026 (8 or 12-month term preferred).
• Work Modality: On-site. A personal vehicle is required to access project sites as they are not accessible by public transit.
• Compensation: Paid position ($21 - $26 per hour, depending on experience).
