About the role#
In this position, you will manage incoming calls to the Service Desk. You will triage client questions, categorize tickets, and resolve or escalate issues as needed. You will also visit client sites to perform service calls. This role involves assisting with project implementations, IT infrastructure builds, security and surveillance projects, and process improvements. You may also help with IT budgeting tasks for the company or our clients.
What you'll do#
- Handle Service Desk calls and triage client issues.
- Categorize, resolve, or escalate support tickets.
- Conduct on-site visits and service calls at client locations.
- Assist with infrastructure rollouts and project implementation.
- Support security, surveillance, and process improvement projects.
- Contribute to IT budgeting tasks.
What you'll need#
- Ability to prioritize and resolve IT problems quickly.
- Experience installing, supporting, and maintaining PCs and peripherals.
- Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
- Proficiency with security measures like encryption and MFA.
- Strong customer service and empathy skills.
- Communication skills, both oral and written.
- Understanding of routing protocols, firewall troubleshooting, and networks (wired and wireless).
- Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and server roles like DNS, DHCP, and File & Print.
- Familiarity with VMware, VoIP technology, and Microsoft Office 365 suite.
- Proficiency in Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Redhat, or CentOS.
- Knowledge of database creation, management, and scripting.
- Understanding of project management fundamentals and event management.
- CCNA or CCNP capability.
- A valid G license and access to reliable transportation.
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
