2026 MLB Voices Fellowship Program

About the role#

The MLB Voices Fellowship is a 10-month program designed to develop the next generation of baseball play-by-play talent, with a focus on elevating diverse voices. Running from February through November 2026, this fellowship provides participants with hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and the opportunity to build a high-level television broadcast reel.

What you'll do#

• Call play-by-play for select MLB events, including MLB Develops events and the Arizona Fall League.
• Participate in bi-monthly programming sessions covering topics such as broadcast preparation, demo building, and navigating the job market.
• Engage in tape review sessions with MLB-level broadcasters.
• Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in the baseball broadcasting industry.
• Network with peers and MLB clubs at the Baseball Winter Meetings and attend MLB All-Star Week, including shadowing opportunities at events like the HBCU Swingman Classic and the Futures Game.

What you'll need#

• College graduate status.
• A demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in broadcasting.
• Ability to consent to MLB waivers, releases, and a background check.
• Preference is given to Black Play by Play Grant Fellows or MLB Develops alumni.

Location & details#

• This is a remote fellowship that requires travel to specific MLB events.
• The program is a full-time, paid commitment.
