Intern, Athletic Operations (Fall, 2026)

About the role#

The Athletic Operations Intern will support the Jackie Robinson Training Complex (JRTC) in Vero Beach, Florida, during the Fall 2026 term. This full-time, paid position involves assisting with daily athletic department operations for various events, including the Breakthrough Series, Hank Aaron Invitational, and Nike RBI tournaments.

What you'll do#

• Support daily operations of the athletic department and act as a liaison between onsite clients and JRTC staff.
• Research and compile mailing and email lists for marketing materials and execute direct mail efforts.
• Assist sales staff with outreach and calls to amateur, high school, collegiate, and professional athletic organizations.
• Collaborate with the communications team to review promotional materials, sales collateral, and digital advertisements.
• Perform physical tasks as needed, including pulling tarps and lifting a minimum of 50 pounds.

What you'll need#

• A two or four-year degree, or current enrollment in an accredited 4-year program with at least three years completed.
• Previous experience in an athletics environment and an understanding of baseball.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to use logic and reasoning to evaluate solutions and solve problems.
• Professionalism, the ability to work independently, and a willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
• Relevant academic background in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Health Administration, or Kinesiology.
