About the role#

The 2027 Corporate Summer Internship Program in Commercial Banking is a 10-week experience designed to support professional development and career growth. Interns participate in projects and department initiatives, gain exposure to industry leaders through guest speakers, and build a professional network with peers. This program provides priority consideration for full-time opportunities within the bank.

What you'll do#

• Perform entry-level professional duties specific to your assigned area of the bank.
• Ensure all activities comply with established internal policies and external regulations.
• Adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, including identifying and escalating risk-related issues.
• Design, implement, and maintain internal controls to mitigate risk.
• Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the M&T Bank brand.
• Complete additional related duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated computer, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
