2027 Community Branch Internship Program (All Locations)

About the role#

The Community Branch Internship Program is a 10-week summer internship designed to build interpersonal skills and professional experience within Retail Banking. Participants will immerse themselves in the company culture, engage with industry leaders through workshops and guest speakers, and gain a foundational understanding of the bank's community initiatives. This role offers priority consideration for future full-time opportunities within the organization.

What you'll do#

• Manage customer relationships through proactive outreach and service.
• Identify the financial needs of customers and present appropriate options.
• Onboard new customers and build trust with existing clients.
• Complete entry-level professional duties specific to the assigned branch.
• Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the company brand.
• Ensure all activities adhere to internal policies, risk standards, and external regulations.

What you'll need#

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in software, particularly spreadsheet applications.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Communications, or Accounting.

• Location: Buffalo, New York.
• Term: Summer 2026 (approximately 10 weeks, June through August).
• Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: Paid position ($18.00 - $28.00 per hour).
