About the role#
This 9-week internship at the Greene Plant focuses on quarry operations. You will gain hands-on experience in blasting, heavy equipment operation, plant maintenance, quality control, and sales. The program runs from June 1, 2027, through the first week of August 2027.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks and projects with attention to detail.
- Participate in hands-on training for pit and plant activities.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Follow quality control procedures and perform lab testing.
- Help with sales and dispatch tasks, such as weighing and ticketing haul trucks.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Attend daily safety briefings and help identify hazards.
- Seek feedback and coaching from your team.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation at the end of the summer to summarize your experience.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an advanced degree or certificate program in a discipline related to the mining industry.
- A strong desire to grow your career within the mining field.
