About the role#
This is a 9-week summer internship program focused on quarry operations. You will gain hands-on experience in blasting, heavy equipment maintenance, plant operations, quality control, and sales. The program is designed to build core skills in equipment operation, safety, and planning.
What you'll do#
- Complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Participate in hands-on training for pit and plant activities.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repairs.
- Perform lab testing and follow quality control procedures.
- Support sales and dispatch, including weighing and ticketing haul trucks.
- Attend daily safety briefings and report hazards.
- Keep your work area clean and organized.
- Seek feedback and coaching from team members.
- Present your learning outcomes and experiences at the end of the summer.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an advanced degree or certificate program in a related discipline.
- A desire to grow your career within the mining field.
