About the role#
Loblaw Companies Limited is seeking a Pharmacy Student to join the team in Mississauga. This full-time, paid position involves working on-site to support pharmacy operations through automation and inventory management. The role is focused on preparing medication orders for nursing homes and ensuring workflow efficiency.
What you'll do#
- Generate automation reports using Kroll pharmacy management software.
- Package medications into unit dose pouches using the automation machine.
- Manage the automation workflow to meet established targets and schedules.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory levels by placing orders for supplies and specialty items.
- Follow a structured workflow process to prepare packages for shipment.
- Assist with prescription filling, including labeling medications and preparing blister packs.
- Perform machine maintenance and troubleshoot order issues to ensure timely shipping.
What you'll need#
- Post-secondary education in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Biology, or Health Administration.
- Previous pharmacy experience within a Long Term Care setting.
- Proficiency with Kroll pharmacy software.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to remain active and move consistently for extended periods.
