Pharmacy Student Part Time Day

About the role#

This is a part-time pharmacy student position located in a community retail pharmacy setting. The role is designed to provide practical, real-world training that complements academic studies in fields such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration. You will gain exposure to the expanding roles of community pharmacists and develop the skills necessary to manage a retail pharmacy environment.

What you'll do#

• Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers and assist them at every step of their visit.
• Participate in the daily practice of pharmacy within a community environment.
• Enhance your knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and disease state management.
• Develop patient counseling skills, including performing MEDSCHECK under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Improve communication skills with patients, employees, and other healthcare workers.
• Prepare for a successful career in a community pharmacy setting.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in a relevant program such as Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
• Ability to work effectively in a retail pharmacy environment.
• Strong interest in community pharmacy practice and patient care.
• Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Employment Type: Part-time, rolling term.
• Compensation: $18.60 - $19.55 per hour. This is a unionized position.
