About the role#
This position offers practical training for students pursuing careers in pharmacy. You will gain hands-on experience within a community pharmacy setting, preparing for future success while learning about the expanding roles of pharmacists. This is a part-time, on-site role located in Guelph, Ontario.
What you'll do#
- Provide an exceptional shopping experience for pharmacy customers.
- Participate in the daily practice of a community pharmacy.
- Assist in delivering superior customer service at every step.
- Learn to manage retail pharmacy operations.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a program related to Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or Health Administration.
- Practical experience or an interest in community pharmacy environments.
- Knowledge of over-the-counter (OTC) products and disease state management.
- Ability to develop patient counseling skills, including performing MEDSCHECK under direct pharmacist supervision.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, employees, and healthcare workers.

- Compensation: $18.60 to $19.55 per hour.
- Requirements: Candidates aged 18 or older must complete a criminal background check.
