About the role#
We are hiring a Pharmacy Student to join our team in Markham, Ontario. This is a part-time, on-site position with a rolling term. You will support our pharmacy operations by managing inventory, preparing medication, and assisting with patient care.
What you'll do#
- Administer flu and COVID-19 vaccines to patients.
- Use Kroll software to prepare and label prescriptions, over-the-counter products, blister packs, and mixtures.
- Manage pharmacy automation, including generating reports via HW software, packaging medications into unit dose pouches, and performing machine maintenance.
- Oversee automation workflows to ensure we meet daily targets and shipping schedules.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory levels and place orders for supplies or specialty items.
- Assist with inventory counts and manage drug recalls by identifying alternatives.
- Prepare medication orders for nursing homes and patients by following established step-by-step workflows.
- Troubleshoot order issues to ensure timely shipping.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current pharmacy student with post-secondary education.
- Prior pharmacy experience, specifically with Long Term Care, is required.
- Proficiency with Kroll software.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to different departments as needed.
- Capability to problem-solve and make independent decisions.
- Ability to move quickly and consistently for extended periods.
Location & details#
- Location: Markham, Ontario.
- Role type: Part-time, on-site.
- Compensation: $20.90 - $28.60 per hour, based on experience and location.
- Requirement: Candidates 18 years or older must complete a criminal background check.
