About the role#
As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will support the Lean Manager by completing assigned manufacturing projects. You will work on-site at our City of Industry facility to help improve production efficiency and maintain safety standards.
What you'll do#
- Support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.
- Create production metrics and display boards.
- Perform time studies to establish production standards.
- Design drawings for tools, parts, and workstations using Solid Works.
- Author SOPs and Work Instructions.
- Comply with all company and governmental safety, environmental, and hazardous materials regulations.
- Wear required PPE in designated areas.
- Promote our HSE culture by identifying risks and implementing preventive actions to reduce our environmental footprint.
What you'll need#
- Active pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Proficiency in CAD software.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials.
- Technical understanding of manufacturing processes including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
