About the role#
Lincoln Plastics is hiring a Design Technician-Intern to support our project teams. You will work on component and assembly designs, identify manufacturing methods, and maintain technical documentation. This is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Design components and assemblies using CAD software.
- Create and revise drawings in the company format.
- Prepare change packages for approval.
- Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to implement drawing requirements.
- Support the development of control plans.
- Assist Mechanical Engineers with design for manufacturing and general design practices.
- Perform tolerance stack analysis and analyze process capability data to resolve issues.
- Develop project cost models and review vendor quotations.
- Design fixtures for measurement, assembly, and testing.
- Follow all quality and safety systems.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a Computer Aided Design Drafting program or equivalent.
- Completion of at least two semesters in your program.
- Working knowledge of SolidWorks 3D CAD software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
