About the role#
Lincoln Plastics is hiring a Maintenance Technician Intern to support our manufacturing operations. This is a paid, part-time position working 16 to 20 hours per week, specifically Monday through Friday from 4pm to 8pm. You will work on-site at our Lincoln, Nebraska facility.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on all plant equipment.
- Provide emergency repairs for production equipment as needed.
- Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production machines and facility equipment.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance checks.
- Complete various building maintenance tasks inside and outside the plant.
- Follow ISO guidelines and OSHA safety regulations while maintaining a clean work area.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree program, or at least one year of equivalent work experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds frequently.
- Physical ability to crouch, crawl, climb ladders, and work at various heights.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office software.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Basic math skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance is a plus.
