Operations Intern

About the role#

The Operations Intern at Limbach assists the Operations and Special Projects departments with the development and execution of project work. This is a full-time, paid position based in Columbus, Ohio, scheduled for the Fall 2026 term. The role operates primarily in an office setting but requires occasional travel to local job sites for meetings and inspections.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the operational review of mechanical estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers to complete the submittal process and perform project accounting tasks.
• Learn to track field work efficiency and productivity.
• Attend project meetings with department staff, including internal sessions and owner-facing meetings.
• Assist with contract and material scheduling.
• Perform document control tasks to ensure content accuracy.
• Support field personnel and perform related duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Construction, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Environmental), or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn industry-specific systems.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering is preferred.
