Operations Intern

About the role#

The Operations Intern at Limbach assists the Operations or Special Projects department with the development and execution of project work. This is a paid, full-time summer 2026 internship based in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves a mix of office-based tasks and occasional visits to local job sites.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the operational review of mechanical estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers to manage the submittal process and perform project accounting tasks.
• Track the efficiency and productivity of field work.
• Assist with the scheduling of contracts and materials for active projects.
• Attend project meetings with internal staff and owners.
• Perform document control tasks to ensure content accuracy.
• Support field personnel and assist with related project duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Construction, Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency with computers and a willingness to learn industry-specific software.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering is preferred.
