Operations Intern

About the role#

The Operations Intern assists the Operations and Special Projects departments with the development and execution of project work. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Columbus, Ohio. The position involves a mix of office-based tasks and occasional travel to local job sites for meetings and inspections.

What you'll do#

• Assist in the operational review of mechanical estimates.
• Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Engineers to complete the submittal process and perform project accounting tasks.
• Track the efficiency and productivity of field work.
• Attend project meetings with department staff, company leadership, and owners.
• Assist with the scheduling of contracts and materials.
• Perform document control tasks to ensure accuracy and content quality.
• Support field personnel and assist with additional related duties as assigned.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a college degree program for Construction, Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Industrial), or a related field.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse audiences.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Computer proficiency and a willingness to learn industry-specific systems.
• Previous internship or co-op experience in construction or engineering is preferred.

• Work Modality: On-site.
• Compensation: $21 per hour.
• Work Environment: Primarily office-based with intermittent visits to construction job sites.
