About the role#
The Product Innovation Co-op works with leadership, engineering, operations, sales, and marketing teams. You will support customer demonstrations at the LightGuide Innovation Center and contribute to the development of our augmented reality software portfolio. This is a full-time, on-site, paid position based in Wixom, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Create, improve, and maintain hardware and software demonstrations in the Innovation Center.
- Beta test software versions alongside customers, operations, and engineering teams.
- Author and record workflows to produce proof of concept videos for specific projects.
- Collaborate with operations to draft workflows before final installation.
- Maintain the internal hardware database.
- Set up customer software platforms in the center to showcase integration capabilities.
- Conduct internal and market research to help generate and refine product requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, under direction, or as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic hand tools.
- Professionalism, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Preferred experience includes programming, mechanical design or CAD, manufacturing environments, databases or data visualization tools, Salesforce, CPQ, Jira, UI/UX design, and public speaking.
Location & details#
- Location: Wixom, Michigan.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, hourly, temporary. Some flexibility is required to accommodate customer schedules, including occasional late or weekend hours.
- Physical requirements: Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 35 pounds.
