About the role#
The Application Engineering Co-Op will join the engineering team to support the development and deployment of augmented reality work instruction software. This role involves a mix of design, hardware configuration, and on-site installation work to help optimize manufacturing processes.
What you'll do#
- Create unique augmented reality experiences using LightGuide software.
- Set up, configure, and test hardware including PCs, PLCs, projectors, smart torque tools, and motorized spotlights.
- Plan and design system structures using CAD software.
- Design and prototype mounting components using 3D printing technology.
- Perform system installation and service at customer locations.
- Prepare technical documentation and drawings for customers.
- Package and ship hardware for installation projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD software, with a preference for SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of 3D printing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
