About the role#
The Application Engineering Co-Op will join the engineering team to support the development and deployment of augmented reality work instruction software. This role involves hands-on technical work, ranging from hardware configuration to system design and on-site installation.
What you'll do#
- Create unique augmented reality experiences using LightGuide for various real-world applications.
- Set up, configure, and test equipment, including PCs, PLCs, projectors, and other hardware.
- Plan and design system structures using CAD software.
- Design and prototype mounting components using 3D printing.
- Perform on-site system installation and service at customer locations.
- Prepare technical documentation and drawings for customers.
- Package and ship hardware for installation projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Computer Engineering.
- Proficiency with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of 3D printing techniques.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
