Finance Intern (Accounts Payable Associate)

About the role#

This 12-month Finance Internship position is based within the corporate finance team, supporting the Business Services Team for North America. The role focuses on managing financial obligations, maintaining supplier relationships, and optimizing payment processes. This position provides an opportunity to gain experience in Accounts Payable, month-end close procedures, and financial analysis.

What you'll do#

• Review and process supplier invoices while verifying accuracy against purchase orders and payment terms.
• Ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payroll.
• Manage account maintenance and transaction records within the ERP system.
• Prepare account reconciliations, financial reports, and account analysis to assess financial status.
• Oversee the vendor registration process and maintain an accurate vendor database.
• Manage cash pooling operations to optimize liquidity and support financial audits.
• Compile documentation and reports for headquarters to assist in decision-making processes.
• Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.

What you'll need#

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related business field.
• A strong interest in pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously as a self-starter with high attention to detail.
