This is a paid, full-time Co-op/Internship opportunity for the Summer and Fall 2026 terms. Based in Fayette County, Ohio, this role supports the facility operations of a large-scale lithium-ion battery manufacturing plant. Interns will work on-site, gaining hands-on experience in plant infrastructure, electrical systems, and facility maintenance under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
What you'll do#
- Update and document Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawings of existing infrastructure.
- Analyze and design sanitation, HVAC, and building pressure systems.
- Develop short and long-term solutions for identified operational problems.
- Review electrical drawings and learn the plant's power infrastructure.
- Update mechanical engineering specifications, standards, and electrical panel schedules.
- Verify construction completeness and update high bay light locations.
- Assist with utility analysis, energy reporting, and arc flash analysis.
- Coordinate power shutdowns and support safety initiatives related to environmental equipment and boilers.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or Environmental Engineering.
- Class status of Sophomore or above.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- A valid U.S. Driver's License and the ability to provide your own daily transportation.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
- Desired skills include proficiency in AutoCAD, CATIA, and Microsoft Office.
