Civil Engineering Co-op/Internship

About the role#

This Civil Engineering Co-op/Internship is a full-time, paid position based in Fayette County, Ohio. The program is designed to provide engineering project support during the Summer and Fall 2026 sessions. Participants will work on-site and gain experience in a manufacturing environment, with the program serving as a talent pipeline for future full-time employment.

What you'll do#

• Perform analysis of existing trusses for potential reinforcement.
• Verify field conditions and conduct construction verification.
• Plan and oversee summer pavement activities.
• Develop project punch lists and assist with utilities drawing, development, and labeling.
• Provide general support to the facilities department, including tracking and analyzing roof leaks.
• Support the operation of environmental equipment, boilers, and safety-related areas.
• Generate troubleshooting reports and provide general engineering project support.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA.
• Class status of sophomore or above by credit hour.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to provide own transportation to the work site.
• Desired: Coursework in manufacturing, AutoCAD, or CATIA.
