12-Month Accounting Internship

About the role#

LG Electronics is offering a 12-month, full-time Accounting Internship based in the Buckhead area of Atlanta, Georgia. This position supports the Business Services Team for North America and provides experience with journal entries, month-end close, and various accounting projects. Interns work a 40-hour week, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What you'll do#

• Provide accounting services to LG Chem subsidiaries in the Americas under the guidance of a team leader.
• Monitor and provide administrative support for functions including General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, and Fixed Assets.
• Support reconciliation tasks and assist in the preparation of income and balance sheet statements.
• Generate internal and external reports for the regional office and headquarters.
• Perform physical fixed asset counting and manage lease accounts.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.

What you'll need#

• A completed BS or BA degree, with a preference for candidates with an Accounting background.
• A demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in accounting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and take initiative.
