About the role#
This internship offers a chance to explore the actuarial field through hands-on experience with insurance, statistics, and real-world projects. You will work on a high-impact government contract and collaborate with experienced actuaries. The program includes a 3-week intensive training period at the start to build your skills.
What you'll do#
- Complete a 3-week intensive training program.
- Work on a real actuarial project, primarily focused on a government contract.
- Gain experience in insurance statistics and data analysis.
- Collaborate with experienced actuaries on meaningful work.
- Receive feedback and mentorship to develop your professional skills.
- Contribute to project success and potentially assist with other tasks if the primary project concludes early.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing or have already obtained a Bachelor's degree in any field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 or a Pass in a Pass/Fail system.
- U.S. citizen or a foreign national who has lived in the U.S. for at least 3 years.
- Authorization to work in the U.S.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tasks.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team-oriented approach.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time summer internship for 2027.
- The role offers remote, on-site, or hybrid work options.
- If you choose to work on-site, the office is located in Plano, Texas.
