About the role#
This is a full-time Mechanical Engineer Intern position for Summer 2027. You will work on-site in Maitland, Florida, gaining hands-on experience with mechanical, HVAC, and energy design. This role focuses on building industry skills through collaboration with professional engineers on complex projects.
What you'll do#
- Create detailed layouts and equipment details for HVAC systems.
- Develop one-line diagrams and schematics.
- Help the design team assemble organized sets of construction drawings.
- Assist with data collection and field verification tasks.
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to support all aspects of a project.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, preferably as a sophomore or junior.
- Strong interest in Building Systems Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to travel locally for job site inspections and field work.
- Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
