About the role#
The Drafting Intern will work with our mechanical team to develop construction plans and drawings. You will receive guidance and mentorship from experienced technicians, designers, and engineers while gaining hands-on experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Assist in creating construction drawings based on redlines, rough sketches, or verbal direction.
- Attend construction meetings to understand project progress.
- Learn to perform load calculations and select equipment.
- Address design problems and find effective solutions.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand general design concepts.
- Communicate with clients, engineers, and architects to identify and implement project expectations.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support the mechanical team.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen carefully and work well within a team.
- A desire to learn quickly and grow professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to maintain integrity and ethical standards.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in West Fargo, North Dakota.
- We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
