About the role#
Larian Studios is seeking a Technical QA Tester Intern to join our Infernal Affairs department. In this role, you will help improve the Divinity engine by ensuring the stability of our production pipelines and technical tools. You will work within an international team, collaborating daily with studios across the globe.
What you'll do#
- Perform manual testing, including regression and integration testing.
- Assist the programming team by testing specific changes before they are integrated into main developer branches.
- Test and help improve production pipelines and tools to ensure they remain stable.
- Manage the bug tracking system, report bugs, and validate corrections.
- Act as the first line of support for the production team regarding technical issues.
- Follow priorities set by the QA Lead to meet team-wide goals.
What you'll need#
- Currently completing or recently graduated from a program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Mathematics.
- Passion for video games and familiarity with the RPG genre.
- Knowledge of programming or scripting.
- Experience working with game engines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with professional-level written and spoken English.
- A rigorous, methodical, autonomous, and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to judge the significance and consequences of identified bugs.
- Prior experience in QA, as well as knowledge of Perforce, JIRA, Jenkins, or network configurations, is considered an asset.
