About the role#
Lactalis American Group is hiring a Procurement Intern to join our Direct Procurement team in Buffalo, New York. This is a paid, full-time position requiring 20-40 hours per week for a one-year duration. You will work on category management, strategic sourcing, and project management tasks to support our co-manufacturing operations.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain databases for finished goods, upstream materials, vendors, and prospects.
- Assist with the Global Coman Process implementation and support initiatives to improve free cash-flow.
- Help negotiate supplier pricing and carry out vendor assessment processes with internal teams.
- Support cost savings projects and manage updates to purchasing tools and saving trackers.
- Monitor price updates and track vendor performance metrics.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior internship, co-op experience, or relevant coursework in procurement is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
