About the role#
The Konare Law Summer Associate Program is a 10-week immersive experience for 1L and 2L law students. You will work alongside attorneys on active cases and participate in daily operations. This role focuses on substantive legal work rather than observation. You will support our team in removal defense, family-based, and employment-based immigration matters.
What you'll do#
- Draft memoranda, briefs, parole documentation requests, and waivers with attorney supervision.
- Conduct legal research using Westlaw and other resources.
- Assist with case preparation for litigation and administrative proceedings before USCIS and immigration courts.
- Review and summarize immigration policy changes, case law, and relevant developments.
- Observe and participate in court proceedings, client consultations, and strategy meetings.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 1L or 2L at an ABA-accredited law school.
- A strong academic record.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- A genuine interest in immigration law and access to justice.
Location & details#
- This is a paid, full-time position located in Coral Gables, Florida.
- The role is on-site for the Summer 2027 term.
- Compensation starts at $20 per hour.
