About the role#
This co-op position within the Medical Isotopes department focuses on isotope enrichment production. You will work on-site at the Toronto facility to support technical leads in preparing production facilities and setting up equipment. This role is open to students in their 2nd or 3rd year of study.
What you'll do#
- Perform tasks as directed by supervisors to support production facility preparation and equipment setup.
- Support the execution of test plans and the analysis of collected data.
- Contribute to the writing of test reports.
- Follow established procedures diligently while meeting all safety and quality requirements.
What you'll need#
- Current full-time enrollment in a post-secondary Engineering, Engineering Physics, or Physics program requiring a co-op placement.
- Strong detail orientation, a proactive approach, and solid organizational and planning skills.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team.
- Aptitude for working with mechanical and electrical systems and parts.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of optical and laser systems is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with Labview, Comsol, Python, or other data acquisition programs is considered an asset.
Location & details#
- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada (On-site).
- Term length: 4, 8, 12, or 16 months.
- Compensation: $24.44 to $28.11 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
