About the role#
As a Process Engineer Co-op, you will work in a manufacturing environment to support the production of beverages. You will lead high-impact projects and gain experience executing operational plans. This role requires you to work on-site in Knoxville, Tennessee, for the Fall 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support daily manufacturing operations to meet safety, quality, production, and cost goals.
- Assist with TPM implementation and Lean activities, including Kaizen events.
- Write and verify specifications while maintaining product and process documentation.
- Test processes, equipment, and raw materials.
- Analyze downtime data and maintain action plans using lean methodology.
- Collect and calculate savings data on improvement projects.
- Recommend methods to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Prepare reports to communicate results to various levels of the organization.
- Complete a project from start to finish and present your findings to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate program.
- Major in Chemical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changes.
- Experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
Location & details#
- Location: Knoxville, Tennessee.
- Term: Fall 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Compensation: This position is paid at $31 per hour and includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.
- Eligibility: You must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
