About the role#
As a Mechanical Test and Reliability Co-op, you will support the Engineering Manager of Reliability, Test Fixtures, and Advanced Development. You will help with reliability predictions and assessments for systems, sub-systems, and components within our coffee appliances. This role offers the chance to work on Advanced Development projects from the start and influence engineering decisions for New Product Development.
What you'll do#
- Support Reliability and Design Validation Testing for new products.
- Conduct data analysis on test results to support New Product Introduction milestone events.
- Support Advanced Development projects through rapid testing and the mechanical design of fixtures.
- Identify gaps or potential improvements to current test methods.
- Engage and partner on innovative projects within a cross-functional team.
- Participate in meet and greets and lunch and learns with company leaders.
- Complete a project from start to finish and present your findings to stakeholders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Major in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office tools.
- Hands-on problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate test results effectively.
- Basic understanding of risk assessment tools.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional team members.
- Interest in consumer products.
- Work authorization in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, Massachusetts.
- Term: Winter 2027 (January 4, 2027 to May 21, 2027).
- Work Modality: Hybrid (in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
