About the role#
As an Appliance Engineering Intern, you will join the Coffee Operating Unit to work on Keurig appliances, including the Keurig Alta and K-rounds ecosystem. You will lead a specific design or improvement initiative based on your interests and experience. Throughout the summer, you will gain exposure to a global supply chain involving plastics, electronics, electromechanical components, and contract manufacturing.
What you'll do#
- Learn about New Product Development, Rapid Learning Cycles, and designing solutions for consumer needs.
- Manage your project using guided experimentation, design of experiments, and knowledge management tools.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on innovative projects.
- Complete a project from start to finish and present your results to department and senior leadership.
- Participate in professional development training, mentor support, and networking events with company executives.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Must be work authorized in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, Massachusetts.
- Term: June 7, 2027, to August 13, 2027.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $31 per hour plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid within the first 30 days.
