About the role#
As a Food & Beverage Intern at One&Only Moonlight Basin, you will gain exposure to diverse dining experiences. This role provides a well-rounded perspective on luxury operations by working across both front-of-house and heart-of-house areas. You will contribute to service excellence while learning the administrative and operational facets of the hospitality industry.
What you'll do#
- Welcome and assist guests to ensure a positive experience.
- Participate in full-service restaurant operations and rotate between various Food & Beverage outlets.
- Anticipate guest needs and respond to questions or concerns.
- Learn service flow, table management, reservations, and opening or closing procedures.
- Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of meetings and banquet events.
- Coordinate with Culinary, Stewarding, and Housekeeping teams.
- Use reservation and guest management systems.
- Gain familiarity with inventory, purchasing, and cost control.
- Attend departmental meetings and shadow experienced leaders.
What you'll need#
- Current student or a recent graduate (within 2 years) of a university hospitality program.
- Ability to commit to a minimum 3-month (90-day) internship.
- Prior hospitality experience is strongly preferred.
- Professional, polished, and guest-focused approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various outdoor weather conditions.
