About the role#
Katalyst Space Technologies is hiring interns to contribute to spacecraft engineering projects. You will work on one of four technical tracks: Electrical, Mechanical, GNC, or Software. This position offers hands-on experience with flight hardware and software environments while working alongside experienced engineers.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to design, analysis, implementation, integration, and testing of spacecraft systems.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and team meetings.
- Gain exposure to test equipment, simulations, and engineering data.
- Document your analyses, code, drawings, and technical decisions for team review.
- Collaborate across disciplines to understand how different spacecraft systems interact.
- Apply academic fundamentals to real engineering decisions and test results.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Computer Science, Physics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering.
- A strong academic foundation in your chosen discipline.
- Demonstrated technical interest through coursework, research, student teams, or personal projects.
- Ability to break down technical problems and make progress with guidance.
- Ability to comply with export-control requirements and ITAR regulations.
