About the role#
K1 Investment Management is hiring a Business Development Intern for the summer of 2027. You will work from our Manhattan Beach office to learn how to identify strong investment prospects and understand different business models. You will work alongside senior team members to gain experience in Private Equity business analysis. This is a paid, full-time position. Top performers may receive an offer for full-time employment at the end of the program.
What you'll do#
- Research industries and target companies.
- Reach out directly to potential target companies.
- Shadow calls with company management teams.
- Assist with company analysis.
- Help with daily Business Development operations.
- Maintain data quality by uploading information into our proprietary systems.
- Support team members with various tasks as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current Junior-level standing, becoming a Senior in Summer 2027.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a positive, entrepreneurial attitude.
- Ability to work well in a team and act as a self-starter.
